100 Mentors program launched by Federal Youth Authority
aims to build national heroes across all fields in the UAE
by establishing direct channels with mentors. 100 leaders
were nominated from the UAE’s public and private sectors
to mentor youth. The Mentors will work closely with
Federal Youth Authority to foster national heroes and
harness full potential of Emirati youth.
The program is structured to deliver 100 Group Mentoring sessions. The sessions aim to strengthen mentor-mentee relationships by establishing direct channels between 100 leaders and the Youth.
Each Group Mentoring Session includes three main stages
Inspiring story of the mentor’s journey as a Hero and key milestones, lessons learned and experiences through the journey.
Answers to youth questions in a casual format. A moderator representing youth leads the conversation with the mentor.
Final takeaway tips from the mentor and the secret recipe to be Hero in the field.
Minister of State for Food and Water Security
Her Excellency Mariam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Almheiri was appointed as Minister of State for Food and Water Security as part of the reformation of the UAE Cabinet announced on July 2020. Her Excellency is responsible for monitoring national food stocks, investing in food technology, and following up international relations in this area. Previously, Her Excellency was appointed as Minister of State for Food Security following the Cabinet reshuffle of October 2017. Her responsibilities included overseeing the development of the necessary infrastructure that would ensure the country’s food security objectives, in line with UAE Centennial 2071 Plan.
In addition, H.E. represents the UAE federal government in the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) as well as the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA). She is a member of the Board of Directors in the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) and also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural, the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) and the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Food Systems Innovation. She has also been nominated to lead some unique projects in the field of aquaculture under the initiatives of H.H. the President of UAE, through the Ministry of Presidential Affairs to establish the foundation needed for this emerging economic sector to develop and thrive in the country.
H.E. Almheiri previously served as Assistant Undersecretary for Water Resources and Nature Conservation Affairs at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, where she was appointed to oversee the Biodiversity, Fisheries, Coastal & Marine Sustainability and Marine Research departments.
H.E. Mariam Almheiri received her bachelor and master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) in Aachen, Germany.

Sheikh Fahim is a member of The Executive Council Of Sharjah, the body established to assist the Ruler of the Emirate. His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, in drafting policies to raise the social and economic development of the Emirate. In his capacity as The Executive Chairman Of The Department Of Government Relations, Sheikh Fahim is responsible for the cooperation between Sharjah Government departments and International governments and NGOs.
Prior to this current position, Sheikh Fahim worked in strategic advisory and performance monitoring of a portfolio of state owned assets in the UAE. With a background in public sector strategy and investments, he supported the Government in developing policies to achieve both financial and socio-economic returns in state owned enterprises.
Earlier in his career, Sheikh Fahim has worked with both the private and semi-government sector in the areas of foreign direct investment, economic diversification and competitiveness in the Gulf region. He has advised Government agencies on policy development for sector-specific growth and has been involved in programs for foreign direct investments in Asia.
Sheikh Fahim is also The chairman Of Higher Committee for Digital Transformation of Sharjah.
Minister of State for Advanced Technologies
Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri is a Minister of State for Advanced Technologies and chairwomen of the Space Agency, where she is responsible for enhancing the contributions of advanced sciences and technologies to the development of the UAE and its economy .
Her Excellency Al Amiri is also the Chairwoman of the Emirates Scientists Council (ESC), Chairwoman for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4RI) Council, and the Deputy Project Manager and Science Lead of the Emirates Mars Mission (Hope) at the Mohamed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC).
Her Excellency Al Amiri was formerly the head of R&D at MBRSC, where she established the Centre’s knowledge management, strategic research and product assurance functionalities. She joined MBRSC in 2009 as a software developer and worked on both DubaiSat-1 and DubaiSat-2. She was also part of the initial team that set up the KhalifaSat program.
In 2014, HE Al Amiri was tasked with establishing the Advanced Aerial Systems Program. She led a successful development effort to fly a prototype High Altitude Pseudo-Satellite (HAPS), a UAV, in the world’s busiest airspace. The project ended with a successful 24-hour flight, where the aircraft soared to the highest altitude of any aircraft over the UAE’s airspace.
In 2015, HE Al Amiri was selected as one of 50 young scientists by the World Economic Forum (WEF) for her contributions to the fields of science, technology and engineering.

Chief Executive Officer of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC)
H.E. Eng. Mohamed Al Hammadi is the Chief Executive Officer of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC). Mr. Al Hammadi's management responsibilities include leading the organization towards the safe and efficient deployment of the UAE's first nuclear energy plant as well as ensuring compliance to the commitments of the UAE Roadmap to Nuclear Energy and the regulatory compliance to the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR).
He brings to ENEC a strong background in power and utility projects, including management, construction, finance and administration.
Prior to joining ENEC, Mr. Al Hammadi was General Manager of the Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA) where he led a transformational management process focused on the implementation of best practices and international standards to the authority. In this role, he made strategic changes in fuel supply arrangements and tariff structures, and negotiated power purchase agreements that enhanced FEWA's ability to deliver value to its commercial and consumer customer base.
Mr. Al Hammadi is a member of the World Association of Nuclear Operators' (WANO) Governing Board of its Atlanta Centre. From 2013 to 2014, Mr. Al Hammadi was also the Chairman of the Global Agenda Council on Energy Security of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Mr. Al Hammadi is a member of the American Nuclear Society, the Project Management Institute (USA), and is a Certified Project Management Professional. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (USA), the International Council on Large Electric Systems, the Engineers Association of the United Arab Emirates, and the Emirates Project Management Association.
Mr. Al Hammadi holds an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering from Ajou University, Republic of Korea, as recognition of his commitment to Excellence in Engineering, Energy, and his role in the development of the UAE Peaceful Nuclear Energy Program.
Mr. Al Hammadi gained his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and his Master of Science degree in Engineering Management, both from the Florida Institute of Technology.
Director General of The Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority
Abdulla Nasser Lootah is the Director General of Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority (FCSA), a UAE federal government entity created by Presidential Decree No.6 of the year 2015, mandated to strengthen and enhance UAE’s national data and competitiveness capacities. In 2017, Mr. Lootah and his team were directed by UAE Cabinet to lead & manage the Sustainable Development Goals efforts for the UAE in collaboration with 17 ministries, authorities and councils.
Mr. Lootah led FCSA to receive the “Continuous Innovation Award” from Ideas UK and the UAE Government award for the best entity in Gender Balance both in 2017 as well as the Happiness@work awards from www.sustainablemindz.com & www.happinessaward.com for the “Best Employee Engagement award”, “best work-life balance award” & “The happiest workplace award”all in 2018.
Prior to leading the FCSA, Mr. Lootah was the Secretary General of the Emirates Competitiveness Council (ECC), the entity that merged with the National Bureau of Statistics, to form the FCSA.
During his time in ECC, Mr. Lootah oversaw all aspects of the organization’s work relating to UAE’s globally competitive position and global rankings. This included extensive liaisons with federal and Emirate-level government entities and on competitiveness strategies in areas including health, education, business and ICT.
Advocating for policies to enhance the nation’s productivity and well-being, Mr. Lootah also shaped ECC’s research and policy agenda as well as creating a central meeting point connecting public and private sectors, and international organizations.
Prior to joining the ECC, Mr. Lootah was the Country Manager at Microsoft Oman, where he in charge of the world’s largest software developer operations in that country, after leading for a number of years, the UAE’s public sector business for Microsoft. Mr. Lootah was recognized on various occasions, and was awarded the Microsoft Circle of Excellence Award in 2005 for his outstanding contribution and performance.
In his previous work at Emaar, the developer of the world tallest structure, Burj Khalifa, Mr. Lootah was part of the team that delivered the region’s first freehold development, The Dubai Marina, in 2000.
Lootah holds a degree from Richmond, the American International University in London, as well as credentials from Columbia Business School, Wharton Business School as well as Harvard Kennedy School for Government.
Director General of the Public Diplomacy Office
His Excellency Saeed Mohammad Al Eter Al Dhanhani, the Director General of the Public Diplomacy Office, has supervised the launch and management of many strategic projects, including the establishment and management of the Office of Government Communication at the General Secretariat of the UAE Cabinet. He developed the Federal Government general strategy 2008-2011, designed the organizational structures of the governmental communication departments at federal entities and led the development of over 20 strategic government communications guidelines.
Mr. Al Eter also supervised the establishment, launch and management of The Federal Government Spokesperson System as well as the launch and following-up on applying the new federal government logo. He led the launch of the media briefing system at the federal government; setting up of the government communication network; launching the capability building program for government communication employees, in addition to designing several policies related to the internal, external and electronic communication systems at the federal government.
Leading several UAE strategic media campaigns, such as Emirates Mars Mission, governmental strategies, UAE Vision 2021 and a range of governmental campaigns for national days, Mr. Al Eter has also led the media and communications management of the World Government Summit and played a crucial role in the development and launch of several projects such as the Arab Reading Challenge, the Year of Reading 2016, and the UAE National Reading Strategy.
Saeed Al Eter is also the Assistant Secretary General of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives. He is a graduate of Mohammad Bin Rashid Program for Leadership Development, and holds B.Sc. degree in Communication Engineering from Khalifa University and an MBA from the American University of Sharjah. Before joining the UAE government, he worked as an engineer at Etisalat UAE.

H.E. Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti has been appointed as the Secretary General of The Executive Council of Dubai in October 2017. In his capacity as Secretary General, he is responsible for following up the implementation of programs, resolutions and recommendations issued by the Executive Council of Dubai, as well as preparing the Council meetings schedules and documenting all of the work, decisions and recommendations issued by the Council.
His Excellency was the Secretary General of the Cabinet, Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future since February 2016, where he oversaw the functioning of the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, which supports the Cabinet and implements its decisions.
H.E. Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department
His Highness Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, is an icon for excellence, creativity, and enthusiasm. He contributed to make the desired substantial changes which qualify the Emirate of Ajman to reach the peak of glory; he led many important projects which targeted the development of the infrastructure. Additionally, he took part in improving the city’s planning, road network, and traffic flow.
Sheikh Rashid holds a lot of important positions in the government: he is a member in the executive council of the Emirate’s government, he occupies some prominent posts in education and private sectors;he is the chairman of the Al Zorah Development (Private) Company P.S.C., and the vice-president of the Ajman bank. He is also the Chairman of Aqar, the Real Estate directorate in Ajman;the founder and Chairman of the R holding company.
His Highness is also known for his constant interest in enhancing the environmental awareness and reducing the waste of natural resources. Through his position as the Chairman of Ajman Sewerage Company, he is working to improve the quality level of water for household use, and to reduce the waste water of households in the Emirate of Ajman.
Thanks to him, the Emirate has been distinguished in many fields. He widely participated in developing the Education sector through holding many leading positions in this field:the vice-president of the board of trustees of Ajman University, and the chairman of the board of trustees of City University College of Ajman.
His Highness is the Chairman of Ajman club for football as he shows care for development of both sports and cultural aspects in the society. He is significantly interested in supporting the club, helping special talents, and constantly giving them all kinds of support.

Al Hashimy Excellency completed her undergraduate studies at Tufts University, Massachusetts in 1999, where she earned Bachelors of Arts degrees majoring in international relations and French. H.E. Al Hashimy also holds a Master's degree from Harvard University in 2002.

Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri has been the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police since March 2017. Awarded the Dubai Government Excellence Program - Distinguished Field Employee in 2010.
Participated in the Expo 2020 team, where he presented a presentation on securing events in Dubai while hosting the official delegation of the file of the Emirate of Dubai.
Events, tasks, and field training have been a major part of his job at Dubai Police during the years from 2011 to 2015, where the number of tasks carried out during this period 250 tasks.

His Excellency Mohammed Al Gergawi is the United Arab Emirates’ Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future. He is the Chairman of the Executive Office of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Al Gergawi also leads the UAE’s Federal Government Strategy. He is the Deputy Chairman of the UAE’s Ministerial Development Council as well as of the Emirates Investment Authority, the UAE Federal Government’s sovereign wealth fund. Noura is Chairwoman of the Media Zone Authority – Abu Dhabi (MZA) and twofour54, the home of media and entertainment in Abu Dhabi; and Chairwoman of Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC Group). She is also a board member of the UAE’s National Media Council, Abu Dhabi Media, Image Nation, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the United Arab Emirates University.
Noura is the first UAE National to be ranked on Foreign Policy magazine’s ‘Top 100 Global Thinkers List’. In 2014, she was named as one of Forbes Middle East’s 30 Most Influential Women in Government; and was awarded ‘Business Woman of the Year’ at the Gulf Business Industry Awards. His Excellency Mohammed Al Gergawi is the United Arab Emirates’ Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future. He is the Chairman of the Executive Office of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Al Gergawi also leads the UAE’s Federal Government Strategy. He is the Deputy Chairman of the UAE’s Ministerial Development Council as well as of the Emirates Investment Authority, the UAE Federal Government’s sovereign wealth fund. Mr. Al Gergawi is also the Chairman of the Federal Smart Government Initiative as well as the National Science, Technology and Innovation Higher Committee.
Mr Gergawi is the Chairman of global investment company Dubai Holding. He is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Dubai Future Foundation, the Dubai government entity tasked with implementing the Dubai Future Agenda, the umbrella strategy that aims to instill a future-focused national agenda.
Mr Al Gergawi sits on the Boards of the UAE University and Abu Dhabi University and the Supreme Board of the National Defence College. His Highness Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, is an icon for excellence, creativity, and enthusiasm. He is also the Chairman of Aqar, the Real Estate directorate in Ajman;the founder and Chairman of the R holding company.
His Highness is also known for his constant interest in enhancing the environmental awareness and reducing the waste of natural resources. Through his position as the Chairman of Ajman Sewerage Company, he is working to improve the quality level of water for household use, and to reduce the waste water of households in the Emirate of Ajman.

Her Excellency Mariam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Almheiri was appointed as Minister of State for Food and Water Security as part of the reformation of the UAE Cabinet announced on July 2020. Her Excellency is responsible for monitoring national food stocks, investing in food technology, and following up international relations in this area. Previously, Her Excellency was appointed as Minister of State for Food Security following the Cabinet reshuffle of October 2017. Her responsibilities included overseeing the development of the necessary infrastructure that would ensure the country’s food security objectives, in line with UAE Centennial 2071 Plan.
In addition, H.E. represents the UAE federal government in the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) as well as the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA). She is a member of the Board of Directors in the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) and also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural, the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) and the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Food Systems Innovation. She has also been nominated to lead some unique projects in the field of aquaculture under the initiatives of H.H. the President of UAE, through the Ministry of Presidential Affairs to establish the foundation needed for this emerging economic sector to develop and thrive in the country.
H.E. Almheiri previously served as Assistant Undersecretary for Water Resources and Nature Conservation Affairs at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, where she was appointed to oversee the Biodiversity, Fisheries, Coastal & Marine Sustainability and Marine Research departments.
H.E. Mariam Almheiri received her bachelor and master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) in Aachen, Germany.

Abdulla Nasser Lootah is the Director General of Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority (FCSA), a UAE federal government entity created by Presidential Decree No.6 of the year 2015, mandated to strengthen and enhance UAE’s national data and competitiveness capacities. In 2017, Mr. Lootah and his team were directed by UAE Cabinet to lead & manage the Sustainable Development Goals efforts for the UAE in collaboration with 17 ministries, authorities and councils.
Mr. Lootah led FCSA to receive the “Continuous Innovation Award” from Ideas UK and the UAE Government award for the best entity in Gender Balance both in 2017 as well as the Happiness@work awards from www.sustainablemindz.com & www.happinessaward.com for the “Best Employee Engagement award”, “best work-life balance award” & “The happiest workplace award”all in 2018.
Prior to leading the FCSA, Mr. Lootah was the Secretary General of the Emirates Competitiveness Council (ECC), the entity that merged with the National Bureau of Statistics, to form the FCSA.
During his time in ECC, Mr. Lootah oversaw all aspects of the organization’s work relating to UAE’s globally competitive position and global rankings. This included extensive liaisons with federal and Emirate-level government entities and on competitiveness strategies in areas including health, education, business and ICT.
Advocating for policies to enhance the nation’s productivity and well-being, Mr. Lootah also shaped ECC’s research and policy agenda as well as creating a central meeting point connecting public and private sectors, and international organizations.
Prior to joining the ECC, Mr. Lootah was the Country Manager at Microsoft Oman, where he in charge of the world’s largest software developer operations in that country, after leading for a number of years, the UAE’s public sector business for Microsoft. Mr. Lootah was recognized on various occasions, and was awarded the Microsoft Circle of Excellence Award in 2005 for his outstanding contribution and performance.
In his previous work at Emaar, the developer of the world tallest structure, Burj Khalifa, Mr. Lootah was part of the team that delivered the region’s first freehold development, The Dubai Marina, in 2000.
Lootah holds a degree from Richmond, the American International University in London, as well as credentials from Columbia Business School, Wharton Business School as well as Harvard Kennedy School for Government.

His Excellency Saeed Mohammad Al Eter Al Dhanhani, the Director General of the Public Diplomacy Office, has supervised the launch and management of many strategic projects, including the establishment and management of the Office of Government Communication at the General Secretariat of the UAE Cabinet. He developed the Federal Government general strategy 2008-2011, designed the organizational structures of the governmental communication departments at federal entities and led the development of over 20 strategic government communications guidelines.
Mr. Al Eter also supervised the establishment, launch and management of The Federal Government Spokesperson System as well as the launch and following-up on applying the new federal government logo. He led the launch of the media briefing system at the federal government; setting up of the government communication network; launching the capability building program for government communication employees, in addition to designing several policies related to the internal, external and electronic communication systems at the federal government.
Leading several UAE strategic media campaigns, such as Emirates Mars Mission, governmental strategies, UAE Vision 2021 and a range of governmental campaigns for national days, Mr. Al Eter has also led the media and communications management of the World Government Summit and played a crucial role in the development and launch of several projects such as the Arab Reading Challenge, the Year of Reading 2016, and the UAE National Reading Strategy.
Saeed Al Eter is also the Assistant Secretary General of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives. He is a graduate of Mohammad Bin Rashid Program for Leadership Development, and holds B.Sc. degree in Communication Engineering from Khalifa University and an MBA from the American University of Sharjah. Before joining the UAE government, he worked as an engineer at Etisalat UAE.

H.E. Eng. Mohamed Al Hammadi is the Chief Executive Officer of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC). Mr. Al Hammadi's management responsibilities include leading the organization towards the safe and efficient deployment of the UAE's first nuclear energy plant as well as ensuring compliance to the commitments of the UAE Roadmap to Nuclear Energy and the regulatory compliance to the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR).
He brings to ENEC a strong background in power and utility projects, including management, construction, finance and administration.
Prior to joining ENEC, Mr. Al Hammadi was General Manager of the Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA) where he led a transformational management process focused on the implementation of best practices and international standards to the authority. In this role, he made strategic changes in fuel supply arrangements and tariff structures, and negotiated power purchase agreements that enhanced FEWA's ability to deliver value to its commercial and consumer customer base.
Mr. Al Hammadi is a member of the World Association of Nuclear Operators' (WANO) Governing Board of its Atlanta Centre. From 2013 to 2014, Mr. Al Hammadi was also the Chairman of the Global Agenda Council on Energy Security of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Mr. Al Hammadi is a member of the American Nuclear Society, the Project Management Institute (USA), and is a Certified Project Management Professional. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (USA), the International Council on Large Electric Systems, the Engineers Association of the United Arab Emirates, and the Emirates Project Management Association.
Mr. Al Hammadi holds an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering from Ajou University, Republic of Korea, as recognition of his commitment to Excellence in Engineering, Energy, and his role in the development of the UAE Peaceful Nuclear Energy Program.
Mr. Al Hammadi gained his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and his Master of Science degree in Engineering Management, both from the Florida Institute of Technology.
